Do I Need A Life Coach?

Every life coach I know has experienced trauma in certain areas, healed and overcame, and are now helping others. Or they have mastered an area and are now helping others who exhibit gifts in that same area.  Your need for a coach will be based on the area you are suffering the most. There are many of us so if I  do not fit your need I have resources. By the end of this article if you feel you need a coach but not in my area please email me so that I can help you find who you need. 

Life Coaching does for the mind what a personal trainer does for the body. We help with assessing a situation to provide strategies for moving forward. It is a gradual process that helps individuals dig beneath the surface of their thoughts and beliefs to help them understand internal obstacles to their success and wellbeing. Coaches help people identify and improve upon their: strengths, skills, achieve goals, and achieve personal and professional success. Coaches help to manage transitional stages of life and challenges in a better manner. As an Emotional Wellness Professional, my company helps goal-oriented individuals who are unable to progress in their plans due to limiting beliefs.

Life Coaching helps us take responsibility for our choices, thoughts, and actions and identify limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs originate from experiences and events. We subconsciously internalize fear and insecurity surrounding them which drives our behavior and choices in a very subtle but powerful way. If we accept limiting beliefs it will become a truth for us. What we believe shows up in how we behave. If you believe you are a failure, you may see it showing up in not getting anything accomplished, quitting before to start, easily swayed by people with the same mindset, saying something is too hard, or just making up any excuse to not fail.

Other limiting beliefs sound like:

· I’ll never be happy

· I can’t be loved

· Change is too hard

· My family will abandon me if I change

· I’m not smart enough

· I don’t have the time

· I’m not organized

· If I relax, all hell will break loose

· I’m not disciplined

Limiting beliefs are those which drive us in some way. Just believing them, we do not think, do, or say the things that they inhabit. False beliefs become an issue when we are unable to recognize them as being false or limiting. We will live our lives stuck in cycles when we do not seek help to identify the root issue.

The presence of a limiting belief shows up as:


  • · A lack of interest and enthusiasm for your job, business, daily life, or relationships. No motivation!

  • · Chronic procrastination

  • · No idea who you are

  • · Always has an excuse to avoid change

  • · A lack of passion

  • · Entertaining inner doubt about what you can and can’t do


People need guidance in the form of Life Coaching when they need:


  • · To resolve confusion

  • · Allay self-doubt

  • · Make decisions

  • · Pave a path towards the realization of their dreams and goals

  • · Clarify Issues


Once our mental blocks, internal challenges, and limiting beliefs are uncloaked, we can develop a newfound sense of energy and enthusiasm.

Take out your journal and answer these questions:


  1. Have you set goals?

  2. Have you accomplished any of the goals listed? If no, why do you think that is?   

  3. Do you need help organizationally, or emotionally?

  4. If you were given the tools, would you use them to process what’s holding you back to move forward?

  5. How do you talk to yourself? What are you telling yourself about your goals/desires?

  6. Have you ever sought help to reach your goals?

  7. Describe your ideal life.

Help is here. Your time is now. You deserved to live the life you’ve always dreamed of. I was the person who never completed anything. I would do so well only to come to a screeching halt.
